Thank you, Mary! You know, the trees are pretty hands off. Luck of the season and weather. Even the recipe is pretty hands off. The sugared figs sit over night. Then they cook for an hour or so, low flame, no turning, just shaking every now and then. What is the most demanding, and rewarding, is the timing/time/being present. It makes me realize how much time has become an commodity. Do you have access to figs?
Yum! I’m so impressed with your farm-to-table process. I can see how you work so hard.
