THE HOLE ::: ::: ::: IL BUCO

In my twenties, as my family disintegrated, I disappeared into the wind.

I began to use my grandmother’s saying to describe the cyclical abuse I’d discovered had been handed down generation after generation like a precious heirloom carefully wrapped in scar tissue and silence.

A legacy that left a trail of empty spaces where something used to be. A silence I did not want to bare, a chain I did not know how to break.

It was a crazy wind, from a crazy hole. And all I could do was run.

But no matter how far I went, I was apart of it. It was a part of me. Essa era parte di me.
